Do you ever dread doing laundry in your home sweet home? To some it can be therapeutic, but to others, laundry can mean to procrastinate until the very last second. We would like to share some tips to try to cut down the amount of time it takes to do laundry. Here are some suggestions to try:
1. Junk bowl.
Put a bowl in the laundry room for any junk that is in pockets like money, lipstick, gum, toys, pens, etc. This will remind you to check the pockets before putting them in to wash, which can also lead to preventing a mess during the wash. It also has a centralized place to put things instead of putting them away one at a time as you find them.
2. Mesh bag.
Use a mesh bag to put all of the socks in. This will make it a lot easier to match everything up once done and not lose any to the laundry monster.
3. Shake it up.
Before transferring clothes from the washer to the dryer, shake each clothing article so that it is loose. This will help prevent wrinkles when all is said and done.
4. Wash with breathing room.
Some may think that the more you stuff in the washer, the quicker you’ll be done. But in actuality, if it is too packed, the clothes will not get clean the way they should. You should leave a gap about the size of a hand.
5. Pen on hand.
Keep a stain remover pen on hand so that you can mark the spot right away when it happens. This will save time for looking for the spot.
Hope this will help to save some time and maybe you can start looking forward to laundry day.
