You know that awesome feeling when you wake up from a great sleep in a hotel bed? The quality of the bed can make or break the hotel stay, obviously. But wouldn’t it be nice to have that great hotel-bed feeling every day?
Lots of people have done studies on which hotels have the best beds, and we’ve done research on those. Here’s what we’ve found.
The best beds are all white.
Apparently, something about white sheets and white bed linens sparks off in your head the idea that the bed is luxurious, and therefore sleep is more luxurious. What’s the science behind it? We don’t know. But when hotels opt for all-white linens instead of less-easily-stained literally anything else, you know there’s something to it.
Pillow choice is a great thing.
When you walk into a hotel room and there are two pillows, it’s a bit… disappointing. But the top-rated hotels have loads of pillows, and often choices of types. Foam pillows, down pillows, and more- top-notch pillows make for top-notch sleep.
The Mattress Matters
The Bohemian Rhapsody is wrong, something does really matter. Your sleep surface is important! There are some hotels who, knowing this, have their own mattresses made. For example, the W hotels have the W beds, which was mentioned often as a quality sleep spot. Others go for good brands of mattresses, or have mattress brands make them beds. Some of the most-loved mattresses by hotels and patrons alike include:
- -Sealy brand, especially Simmons Posture-Pedic
- -Serta brand
- -Simmons, especially Simmons BeautyRest Recharge
If you want to find mattresses like these, they are available online at places like 1800mattress.com. You, too, can have a hotel-quality sleep, and you don’t even have to leave your house to get it!
