Stubborn homeowner stains are the worst! If you are at a loss with how to get them out try some of these easy to find and economical stain removers.
1) Homemade and MOST Effective Everything Stain Remover:
1 Tsp. Dawn dishwashing liquid
3-4 Tablespoons hydrogen peroxide
This will work on virtually any stain it comes up against!
Directions: Mix in bowl and scrub on stain with scrub brush and rinse well.
This is a laundry stain remover/ pretreatment and works like a charm on protein and blood stains. It can be found at any grocery store.
3) Armpit Stain Remover:
Mix ½ cup Tide and 1 Tablespoon hot water into a paste. Apply to armpit of shirt and let soak for an hour, wash. For whites you can add a few drops of bleach.
4) Hair Color Removal:
From skin: Windex on cotton ball and rub vigorously. Wash face/skin to removed Windex chemicals.
From clothing or furniture: rubbing alcohol and a scrub brush
5) Latex and Acrylic Paint Removal From Clothing and Paint Brushes
Clothing: Do not wash!!! Use rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush and scrub until paint comes out
Brushes: Soak overnight in concentrated Pine sol
1) Toilet Bowl
Clean your toilet bowl by adding a 2 liter of Coke product and let sit an hour, use a dry wall sand paper piece or pumice stone for the tough ring stain and flush.
Pure Vinegar and newspaper is you streak free best bet. Keep a spray bottle with just white vinegar in it for window day.
3) Frost on windshield
Keep a mixture of 1/3 water and 2/3 rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle in your car. Spray and turn on wipers. Never scrape again.
4) Hand Soap
Dilute hand soap with half water half soap and it will last twice as long. Get more bang for your buck.
5) Disolv-it (actual product name)
Use this fantastic spray product to remove gum from hair, floors, labels that won’t come off and literally anything sticky.
