Are you looking into selling or buying a kbhome and just a step or so away from getting a Realtor? Finding the right one could determine how quickly your home sales. Nobody wants to wait months and months to get their house sold. So here are some things to avoid when looking for a Realtor.
1. Stay away from family
This has the potential to get really bad. If there are a few clients they have, you may be the last priority as you would “understand”. Even if things go slightly wrong, it could damage the relationship for a long time.
2. Don’t just take the first option
The first Realtor you look into may be give a spectacular sales pitch. Don’t bite off of impulse. Make sure you have a few options and do your homework on each. If it still feels right after comparing, then go for it.
3. Lowest commission is not always as good as it sounds
Yes, you don’t have to worry about paying as much, but this also means you may not have as many showings. Real estate agents may not want to show your home when finding the commission isn’t as good. How are you supposed to sell your home when the showings are limited?
4. All Realtor’s are not the same even though they passed the same test
Just because they passed a certain test does not mean they have the same knowledge. The real estate world is constantly changing. Some may be doing this as a side job; others go above and beyond in their profession.
5. The amount of homes sold does not always equate to a good Realtor
Just because they sold the most homes in the business does not make them the best. Questions you may want to ask include-What percent of the homes listed actually sold? How long were the homes on the market? Did the price get reduced multiple times in order to sell the home?
