If you are lucky enough to live somewhere you never have to shovel snow than you might have to suffer extreme heat in the summer. If you live in one of the KB Homes Las Vegas then here are some ideas to keep cool during the summer:
1. Get Out In The Morning
It is important to spend some time each day outside. The best time to go outside in Las Vegas is first thing in the morning when the sun is coming up. It will still be warm, but it’s a great time to go swimming, go for a walk, or to the park. Make sure to take water with you whatever you choose to do outside.
2. Go To The Movies
Going to the movies is a great way to get out during the day in summer if you live in Las Vegas. Some theaters have cheap days, or choose to go to a matinee to save money. Remember to bring a sweater because Las Vegas theaters crank up their air conditioning. Also, almost all Theaters are located within a casino where there is a food court for your convenience.
3. Water Parks
Las Vegas has had a recent addition of two water parks in the south part of the valley. Whether you choose Cowabunga Bay or Wet and Wild make sure to bring sunscreen and apply often, wear a hat, and drink lots of water. Las Vegas can get as hot as 120 degrees, in which case you should stay home.
4. Stay Home
If you choose to stay home you can find lots of fun things to do. You can think about what other people do during the winter. Do a puzzle, watch a movie, read a book, play games as a family, or take a nap. The key to stay cool at home is keeping the drapes closed, letting sunlight in will make the temperature in the house rise.
5. Go To The Gym
You can spend time working out at the gym. Most gyms in Las Vegas also have an indoor swimming pool that you can enjoy year round. You can stay active even if you don’t go outside.
