If you are visiting Texas on vacation or if you and your family are looking to move into one of the beautiful kb homes in San Antonio you are in for a wonderful surprise. San Antonio is an amazing city with a lot of family friendly activities to choose from such as museums, zoos, and historical sites. Here are a few of the adventures your family has to choose from in San Antonio:
Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch
One of the top things to visit in San Antonio is the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. A self guided safari drive allows guests to observe and interact with animals while in their vehicle. Zebras, goats, and ostriches are some of the species you can see while traveling through the ranch land. There is also a petting zoo, a Giraffe Learning Center, and Lemur Island.
Natural Bridge Caverns
Underground chambers that contain interesting geological formations can be found at the Natural Bridge Caverns. A tour that is guided along a lighted and paved walkway is very family friendly in Texas’ largest cave. The cavern is humid and slippery so it is a good idea to wear shoes with traction and wear a light jacket or sweater. Also, strollers are not allowed in the caverns.
One of the most famous places, besides the Alamo, in San Antonio is the River Walk. Open 365 days of the year, this public park runs through the heart of the city and is five miles long. Surrounded by trees, restaurants, shops, and museums, the river has a path made of cobblestone. There are free performances at the Arneson River Theater located at the north end of the river. There are canoes and kayaks available to paddle along a small part of the river.
San Antonio boasts a 65,000 square foot world-class children’s museum. This state-of-the-art family destination is both educational and fun. Children are allowed to dream, discover, play and build. This learning facility has creative outlets and interactive exhibits such as a treehouse, puppet parade, a spy academy, and an outdoor water feature.
