Our four-week long “Do It Yourself” Christmas series is well underway.Prepare to be inspired to wrap presents this holiday season with these do-it-yourself ideas.Given that I am the world’s worst present wrapper, this one really excites me.I like doing it, but I feel terrible about how it seems to others.I can’t be exceptional at everything, you know? Perhaps if I give the presents a fancy wrapping, no one will notice the taped crumples on the edges. Do it yourself wrapping paper is an option for the artistically inclined among us. There is a super-adorable how-to over on Beauty Through Imperfection.

Photos of the construction process are interesting even if you aren’t interested in the project itself.

Pillow gift boxes by Lana Red Studio are adorable, albeit they are probably better used for gift cards.

The experts at Home Depot teach us how to produce tassels fit for the most exquisite presents.

The best tip I’ve seen from Older and Wiser is using dollar store containers for food storage.

I tried making a couple of them, and found that they were more convenient, attractive, and quick to make than using wrapping paper.

You may see mine in my post about not wrapping presents.

These gift bags, which have been hand-embroidered, are too adorable for words.
