My recent obsession has been painting on canvas.What happened to my Christmas canvas depicting the Elf Code?As for that, it was just a case of Mod Podging.And so I started painting.Here we are with the first of many future canvas masterpieces.I ordered 10 of them and want to paint four of them today.Do so at your own risk:)I used painter’s tape to create a chevron design on a standard 8-by-10-inch canvas.Splashed on some bright red acrylic paint using a sponge brush. As soon as you’re done painting, take off the tape. As soon as the paint was dry, I copied a lovely deer silhouette I found on Google Images.
It’s possible to make out the pencil sketch if you look closely enough.
I first used a tiny brush to make a black outline, and then a little bigger (but still tiny) brush to fill in the whole silhouette.
For emphasis, I fastened a little green ribbon bow on the canvas.
It’s now being held in place with tape until I decide whether or not to permanently attach it.
I’m thinking I need a green one with a red bow and a deer looking the other direction.
